Payroll Coordinator - Senior Level

Basic Role

The Senior Payroll Coordinator is expected to proficiently demonstrate ability in all US related payroll, union and non-union.  Extensive and proficient knowledge of all Hollywood I.A.T.S.E. locals, Industry guilds and contracts, both TV and Theatrical, is necessary and must be demonstrated.  Additionally, the Senior Payroll Coordinator must have the proficiency and ability to correctly interpret and pay locals and contracts outside of the Hollywood jurisdiction when necessary.  The senior is the highest level coordinator position and is expected to excel in all payroll-related facets in regards to their duties.

An individual with previous work experience may be hired in this classification for evaluation purposes to asses whether the individual demonstrates enough knowledge to remain in the position, or be appropriately placed in a lower level of classification other than that of Senior level Payroll Coordinator.

Key Functions

  • Process in-coming payroll, which includes breaking of timecards in accordance with applicable Federal, State and Collective Bargaining Agreements.
  • Accountable and responsible for quality service in assisting and servicing clients with regard to payroll production, tax-related issues, answering pertinent questions and problem solving in compliance with company policy and procedure.
  • Extensive knowledge and utilization of internal payroll database system programs including but not limited to: project, employee, dealmemo, invoice, batch, and timecard editor and reports timecard verification, fringe, payroll history, cast list.
  • Maintain accurate and acceptable files for each client/show, in accordance with company policy and procedure.
  • Perform other related duties and assignments as required.
  • All duties are to be performed in accordance with Cast & Crew policies and procedures.
  • All problems and any questions are to be elevated to Coordinator’s Supervisor, or as instructed to assigned representative.
  • A Coordinator is given the authority to do their job according to Cast & Crew’s payroll procedures but no Coordinator has the authority to act independently and/or in violation of Cast 7 Crew’s policies and/or procedures.
